Room question

I have recently received my cabin assignment on the Caribbean Princess -- Cabin L307. From the what I can see we are directly in front of the waiting area for the elevators on the Lido deck, which is where the pools, pizzeria and grill area are located. Should I request another room? Do you think this will be a loud area since the pools are on this level?

I am getting married on the cruise and we would like a quiet, relaxing area...any suggestions?

Hello ErinD92 and welcome to cruise-chat.

first, congratulations! What a wonderful setting for a wedding; and what a terrific honeymoon.

The question of cabins near landings comes up from time to time and I believe once since I've been a member has someone complained about noise; and as I recall, they didn't like much about the cruise at all. And it wasn't a Princess ship anyway. I have had cabins near landings and never had a problem. Also, you are near the forward elevators, which get less use than the midship or aft elevators since the dining rooms and Horizon Court are midship and aft.

And I really believe you will find the proximity to the pools and open decks more of a convenience than a problem. You will not be bothered by noise from outside. You are really in an ideal location.

That's a neat location. We had a similar cabin on the Sun Princess & it was great. Close to the buffet, pool, activities. You might even be able to hear the steel band from your balcony in the afternoon.
