My advice - have a great time!!! I am taking my first cruise in May. I am probably taking too much also but at least the airline has limits! If you haven't flown in a while, make sure you check the TSA's website on what you can take in you carry on luggage etc.
Leaving on the cruise to Hawaii before you on March 17th. Found a good web site to help you. cruisediva.com Looking at it this afternoon has alot of good tips. Packing for men & women listed separate.
Kevin23, just remember Princess has self-service laundry facilities on board as well as laundry and dry cleaning services for a fee. Take about half of what you're planning to take. You'll probably be purchasing goodies while you're in port, so you won't need as much as you might think you will. Hope you have a wonderful time!
Penny- No matter what you tell first time cruisers about over packing, they won't believe you. It takes people many cruises to finally realize they didn't need 1/3 to 1/2 (or more) of the stuff they bring. Possibly the increase in baggage fees by the airlines might wake some of them up.
