My wife and I will be celebrating our 20th anniversary on a Coral Princess Cruise to Alaska in July. We are first time cruisers, in our mid 40's, and pretty athletic. The excursion booking is a little confusing - use the cruise lines or do it independently to save money?? Knowing I can get out of them if I want, I booked 3 through the cruise line -canopy zip-lining in Ketchican; whale watch in Juneau; van up White Pass and bike down in Skagway. Any words of wisdom from experienced cruisers will be greatly appreciated!
