I am booking a Baltic cruise in June on the Star Princess. I would like input on what works best for 3 people- 2 adults and teenager when it comes to selecting a cabin. Should I pick 2 inside cabins and get 2 baths or 1 mini suite? Thanks

Welcome to cruise chat bjgriff! I would think you will be better off with the Mini Suite. Cabins require a double occupancy, therefore, you will actually be paying for 4 people, not to mention, enjoying the added space and view of the mini suite. Hope this helps!

Another issue is sofa bed comfort vs twin bed. My teenager has a bad back.

Hopefully someone can answer that for you. I can't say that I have slept on the sofa bed. In general, they are never as comfortable as a bed.

The mini suite would be much more comfortable for all concerned. Your teen will be fine on the sofa bed.

Take the mini-suit; no contest. You will all be much more comfortable. If the teen has a problem with the sofa bed give her one of the twins.

Having the extra bathroom won't even come close to comparing to the large balcony and other pluses of the mini-suite.

My vote would be for the mini-suite.
I will say however, not sure how comfortable the sofa bed will be for someone with a bad back. Perhaps they can give you an eggcrate to use.
Or you could maybe bring along a twin aerobed to use in the living room area where the sofa is??
I know my girlfriend attempted to try the sofa bed & did not last the night.

Have an awesome cruise. The Baltics are amazing. I have many albums posted in my webshots link below to get you psyched to go.

ENJOY
