Does anyone know are the formal nites , really formal? I plan on not, just dressy slacks and top. Has anyone been to alaska the first of July. What was the weather like and did you see any whales in the open water.

I have been to Alaska twice. Early June & Late July. Alaska weather can vary greatly. One piece of wardrobe advice is LAYERS.
I did not have the warmer weather some get in Alaska. Be prepared also for rain. Especially in Juneau. As far as whales we did see them.

There are 2 official formal nights. To be honest you will see many variations. If you are comfortable wearing dress pants and a top that is fine. Some overdress & others underdress. Again, go with what you are comfortable with.

Hi, we will be on the regal july 7th. We are from phoenix. This will be our first time with princess. We have done RCI twice, the Monarch and the Explorer. We are probably going to do the formal nights. I am not sure which dresses I am wearing. My husband will be in a suit. We usually change out of them as soon as dinner is over. I want to get comfy again. Anyways, where are you coming in from? Well, I am very excited. We will be with several family members, and 2 teenage boys. Just a few more weeks....Lil' Lori
