Transatlantic in May

I am planning a transatlantic cruise in May on the Star Princess which will take us to the northern side of Europe. First question - when will it be too cold to lay out on the deck? How cold is a spring eastern transatlantic cruise? How much time do you spend outside? Are the ports of call very cold?

I am booked on the April 30 - May 15 Star transatlantic. I just checked WeatherWorld Information service for May. Norway 33-48 degrees, France 44-58 degrees, England 42-55 degrees Farenheit; so expect a chilly crossing. The star has one pool that's semi-protected from the wind, up near the Lotus Spa. I'm looking forward to cold, there's much to do on those 5 days crossing- usually entertainment on Princess is quite good. I'd love to hear from someone who's done the early May crossing and knows from personal experience. My experience with Star is Mediterranean summertime.
