Formal nights?

First-timer cruiser here...going to Alaska July 1 on Sun Princess. I have a question about the formal night dining...would this be acceptable for a woman: dressy black pants and a sequined top and jacket? Is there any rule about women wearing a dress or skirt?

You'll be fine with that. My wife has a number of similar outfits and wears them to the formal nights most of the time. She gets not only a lot of compliments, someone always says "I didn't know I could wear pants, I'm doing that next time too".

Hi Nickowner welcome to cc.I don't know about Sunprincess but the Hal allowes Black dress pants and a dressy top because I wore them on my cruise to Alaska last Aug/Sept 2007. Enjoy your cruise.

Princess allows it and you will feel right at home. My wife has similar outfits and gets compliments and comments similar to Neil's wife.
