Drink Packages
Hello all,
97 days left until we leave for Hawaii on the Golden Princess. We can't wait. This is our longest cruise yet. We did the 12 night Med. cruise on RC in 2009 and had a blast. My question is, that I see on the order sheet on Princess that you can buy a beer package. Is this to be delievered to your room or is this something that you can buy throughout? I've never been on Princess before, so I look forward to your responses. Thanks, Dale |
The beer package (6 for the price of 5 in a bucket with ice) is available at the poolside bars throughout the cruise. I believe you can order it delivered to your cabin also.

Thank you!! This is a great deal!!
Also, on our last RC cruise this summer, RC had a deal going on, that if you went to this shopping talk for the islands and bought a coupon book, that they gave you a sticker for buy 1 get 1 drink of the day. HAve you ever heard of Princess doing that? RC of course didnt publicize it, but what a great deal... Thanks. |
Princess will give you a coupon for some sort of trinket at Diamonds Internation if you sit through the port lecture (sales pitch); some think it is worth it--I personally do not. And not to be contentious but I don't consider $23.25 for a six-pack a particularly good deal
:-) |
I agree, the port lecture is not worth it as well as the coupon. We did this on our first cruise not knowing any better and never again!!!
|
I agree, but its cheaper than paying for all 6... Definitely cheaper than RC...
Yeah the DI coupon isnt worth it. The only thing that was worth sitting through the one this summer on RC, is the sticker for buy 1 get 1 free drink of the days for the entire cruise. |
Wow, I didn't realize from your first post that it was buy one, get one free for the entire cruise. . . . .that IS a grreat deal. Princess dosen't have anything like that.

$3.85 for a beer is a good price, considering that it will include the 15% service charge on bar purchases. I've paid more for a can of beer at local restaurants.
|
Of course you are right, susanmaz; I just see it from the perspective that I can get a sixer of good imported beer, let's say Pacifico, for $7.00 at the corner mini-mart. Then too, I can remember when domestic beer on Princess was $1.50 and imports were $1.75.
