People cried "foul" when Princess substituted these itineraries during the H1N1 scare a couple of years back; but guess what? They loved 'em. Finally, an alternative to the Mexican Riviera for those of us who live out here and sail there as often as those on the other coast sail the Caribbean.
I'm sick of the Caribbean and Bahamas too, although I'll be going to Nassau in December, but that is on the Rock Legends cruise so the ports do not matter.
I've started looking for 'something different' and that is why I cancelled the Alaska cruise we had for next year and replaced it with one going to Bermuda AND New England.
Those Princess cruises in the press release also fit the bill of 'something different'.
I'll bet you can guess which one I'm looking at: that's right--the California Coastal r/t from Los Angeles. The overnight in San Francisco is especially appealing when you consider how easy it is to get around on your own. In fact all the ports are very user-friendly.
Living in the Pacific NW our local cruising was limited now with this new costal Princess has our options have opened up. We have booked the California Costal for March 24, 2012. We have been to LA and a quick stop in SF but the other ports will be new. Thanks Princess for the chance at new adventures.
