Champagne in cabin at boarding time
 

Does anyone know if its possible to have a bottle of champagne in your cabin when you board? The last Princess cruise we went on, I ordered a bottle, but there was only a certificate to get a bottle, not the actual bottle. I took it to the wine bar and they said we could only use it for room service.

We love to have a bottle of champagne waiting for us to enjoy on our balcony after boarding.

We've had iced champagne waiting for us on Princess cruises before, courtesy of our agent. Leaving a coupon in your cabin seems a bit tacky. Have you looked at the gift section on the Princess website?

Thats exactly what we thought. When we did our 14 day cruise to hawaii, I called and ordered a bottle directly from princess and when we got there, there was a certificate, which could only be used for room service, which doesn't answer on boarding days... I will try to give them a call and see if they can actually leave the bottle this time. :)

Royal Caribbean actually has the option to do so, when you order it online.

You can take one bottle per person onboard with you; it dosen't take long to chill down.
