You better go now before the glaciers are gone. These will not be around in 10 years. The glaciers are melting very fast. We went in June of 2007 and it was 95F in Fairbanks!!! That was June 21st. You will enjoy the trip.

I'm headed back to Alaska at the beginning of May. Its ten years since I did a cruise there and can't wait to go back. Its my partner's first trip there, I did it with my sister last time. And the weather may not be too bad. I've been watching and it has been warmer there than here.
Hawaii will be another trip we plan to do someday. Not too many sea days for us, we have enjoyed 3 Transatlantic cruises so far. Always lots to do, without spending extra money.

Need some cruise help?

Thank you for that, Jill SC; I was thinking along the same lines. The ships may make more money on sea days but that dosen't mean you have to contribute to it.

I make up for you two in the casino Truthfully, though, there are so many things you can do that don't cost anything or very little. I love the cooking demos and the wine tastings. We've even gone to a few of the lectures and have found them very interesting. The trivia games and pictionary games are fun, too. Of course, the obligatory pool games are always good for a laugh

The friends I'm going to Hawaii with in October have already planned on hula lessons, lei making and ukulele lessons; a few of us have even bought ukuleles to get a jump on it. I see more things to do than time to do them.

Rick, your trip already sounds great!

The one thing about this 7 day Alaska cruise that I was disappointed in was that there was only one at-sea day. However, on the day we go to Victoria, we don't arrive until 7:00, so that is pretty much an at-sea day, which is fine with us.

Time to call Princess and make the final payment!

You will have a great time, Nadine; I'm reading really good things about Golden Princess; people are raving about the new International Cafe, which is adding more and more no-charge items.

One of the many things I love about the Mexican Riviera itinerary is the full three sea days.
