Price Drop After Booking

Hi everyone.

I wanted to share this with you, although I'm sure most of you know this already, being cruisers. Anyway, I booked about a week or so ago, and saw today that the price dropped on that cruise. I have not yet made final payment, but didn't go through an agent. I contacted Princess, and they were able to rebook, if you will, that cruise at the lower fare, saving me $239.00. I use the term rebook pretty loosely, because they did not have to cancel my booking, just revise it, so to speak.

Isn't that a great feeling? We've had that on our last 4 cruises on HAL. They have always been gracious and eager to help. Congrats on saving money . . . that's more to spend on your trip.

Yes, that is a great feeling! I wasn't sure what Princess' policy was on that, but figured it couldn't hurt to ask. The rep I spoke to re-fared it without a problem. Like you mentioned, that's more money to spend onboard / on excursions.

That has been one of my assigned tasks whether we cruise alone or in a group. I check prices (we have only done 3 different lines) one or two times a week for a price break and make the call directly. It has been a very simple matter (esp with RCI) to get it updated while speaking with a rep on the phone. Our Last Princess, we were 6 in our group and it added up to quite a bit over time prior to the cruise. Great feeling huh ? !!
