We booked a obstucted view, might like to upgrade to a balcony at check in (embakation)...will they allow this even though I used a travel agent?

They probably won't allow it whether or not you used a travel agent. Usually they have a sign posted at the Purser's Desk that says the ship is full and no cabin changes or upgrades are available.

If you want a balcony, I suggest you actually book a balcony. Don't count on being able to change cabins when you check in for your cruise.

I would do as Sandy suggested. The prices fluctuate up and down for categories all the time depending on the sail date. You might can catch a regular Balcony for the same price that they could move you to. It really depends on how far out the cruise is and the booking demand. The ships normally sail full on embarkation day.

Yes, there is usually a sign posted that the ship is full and rooms cannot be changed. On one cruise they went to extra lengths to solve a problem with our cabin rather than change it.
