Cabo San Luca shore excurtion

My wife and I will be on the Diamond Princess the last week in March. We are considering the 40 minute boat tour around Los Arcos. Princess also ofers the same boat tour but includes a bus ride to a beach.

Has anyone had any experience with either of these. If we just take the boat tour, is there a beach easy to get to from the pier? Any opinion is welcome, it's our choice after that.

The ship will tender in Cabo San Lucas Bay in between El Arco and the best beach in Cabo - Medano Beach. Take your 40 minute tour of Los Arcos and return to the pier. At the pier numerous water taxis are available to take you to Medano Beach for about $3 pp. If you want the party scene have them drop you off anywhere near The Office. If you are looking for a quieter setting just walk to either end of the stretch of beach. You can return to the pier via another water taxi or grab a land taxi back for about the same price.

If you walk back from Mendano Beach, you will go through the major shopping and restaurant/bar areas in Cabo. It isn't much of a walk, but very enjoyable.
