We were on the Royal at Christmas time. It's cruising like it used to be. The ship was easy to get around, you get to know everyone on board, the staff is fantastic and more intimate. They switch out the reserved dining area between the Grill and Sabatinis, since space is limited. There aren't as many shops, but they have most of the ammenities as the larger ships. There is a salon, spa, gym, tholossas (sp?)pool, ping pong, library, buffet, casino (tiny), pool, theater, lounges, pizza, and grill area (they serve waffles in the morning there).
Here's a link to our pictures if you'd like to get an idea. You'll have a ball!
