There has been discussion from time to time on the Princess forum about last-minute deals: do they ever really offer them if you have signed up for notification? Well, I just received my first truly last-minute deal offer: 7 day "Classic Southern Caribbean" cruise on Caribbean Princess, r/t from San Juan for $329 inside, leaving--are you ready?--March 7th. That's $47 a day for a Princess Cruise. Now, I suspect that Tortola and Antigua being two of the ports probably has something to do with it; bookings could have been thin to begin with, and there may have been cancellations due to the recent accident. But even if you didn't get off the ship--what a deal!

I could never justify the air fare from the left coast to Puerto Rico for a 7 day cruise; but for someone with easy access to San Juan, who can cruise on short notice, what an opportunity.

Since it is a cruise line link I don't think it breaks any rules. We post links to the cruise line websites all the time.

That is quite a deal, and of course getting to San Juan from California certainly adds to the bottom line in a big way.

Wow! I just priced a flight from Boston To San Juan at 384 r/t, plus 329, is about 700 bucks for 7 days! You can hardly stay home for that!

Add $55 taxes and it's a Past Guest promotion.

Heck, the local Motel 6 charges $46 a night and that dosen't include meals, and there sure as heck won't be chocolate on the pillow at bedtime :-)

I can get Rt out of SF for about 485. Even that would make a great price.

We are doing a land deal this year to Yellowstone. We are renting a condo in Idaho. The most expensive part of the trip is coming and going. Motel are not cheap!!! Even the Motel 6 in the areas are pushing $100.00 a night!! Our Condo is the best deal around 3 bedroom 2bath and it is still about $90 a night, and we do the cooking and cleaning.

Sounds like an awesome deal to me. Especially if you can get a decent air fare. I know I'll be checking Carnival's Pack 'n Go rates when the Fantasy gets here. For people that are retired and/or live close to a port these Last Minute Deals can be incredible sometimes.

That's a great price for air...it's double that out of Albany. I'm retiring in 3 years and will be looking for deals like this. I can pack in a couple of hours! http://cruise-chat.com/groupee_commo...icon_smile.gif
