I've been checking my cruise since booking in mid May on the Crown for next February during a school break timing. Since we travel during either Feb or preferably April, we end up with higher booking costs, both cruise and air. How happy I was earlier this week to see a reduction of $300. per person on our balcony BD Catagory cabin! That will take a little of the sting out of the air costs..Now if we can just find a lower rate on the air that would make my day.

Congratulations on the price break! That's always a nice thing to happen, like found money.

Have you already purchased your airline tickets? If so, most airlines will charge a re-ticketing fee that often negates any price drop. Southwest used to be the exception and maybe still is.

Thanks Sandy, I'm sure we will spend it some place else..No, we have not purchased our airline tickets yet. I am also waiting for a couple of the others to post their February schedules so we can see their prices and then we will need to get going.

Congratulations, peter l!!! It doesn't happen too often with Princess However, they've been sending me some great deals, lately. I just finished paying off the Epic cruise, so it will be a while before I can book something again. Next year, I have to sail either Princess or Costa. I'm missing being on board them, way too much, just been too long.

Congratulations Peter! I know how you feel. A sharp-eyed friend noticed a reduction in prices on our Golden Princess cruise to Hawaii in October and alerted me. Our Catagory AD mini suite was reduced $500 pp.; so with the resulting decrease in taxes and insurance my total saving was $1080.00.
And all it took was a 5 minute phone call. Now the fare is back up higher than what I originally paid. It pays to watch those prices!!

Penny, this is our first Princess cruise. My brother and his wife sailed in Jan and were excited enough to want to cruise again and asked us to join them. We have used mostly RCCL and one Celebrity in the past so we are looking forward to one with Princess, especially after ready many of your positive comments.Great score F-mattox on your savings as well!!

I sure hope they live up to all my hype for you, peterl. I think they just have the best product, at least for me (before anyone starts griping at me ).

F-mattox, Ka-Ching!!!! Wow, did you ever hit the jackpot, and a mini suite no less
