We are going to get a balcony for the first time and noticed we can save by not getting an assigned cabin. Are there bad balcony locations we might get by going with a guarantee?

If we go for the assigned cabin - are there ones you would suggest?

Welcome to Cruise Chat,
It doesn't appear any balconies have an obstructed view on the Grand. So your only concern with a guarantee would be if you minded being all the way forward or all the way aft. Some people have a preference for midship. I have been located in all areas forward, aft, midship and never had any problems. The payoff for taking a guarantee is a lower rate and it works great if you don't have a specific preference of location. Booking late you may not have as good a choice though with assigned either.

There are no undesirable balcony cabins on the the Grand Class ships. The balconies on Caribe deck are larger than the other standard balcony cabins; so a catagory BB on Caribe deck is a good deal. But as Cruise Fanatic says, unless location is really important to you, you can save money with a guarantee.
