Mary, if you take a look at the deck plan, you'll see an 8-cabin wide section midship that sticks out a bit on both the Coral and the Island, its sister ship. Cabin C508 is only two cabins away from the edge of that section and you may find that your view to the right (assuming you're facing the ocean and not your cabin door!) may be partially blocked. If it's possible, you may want to try to move aft a few cabins (say, C514, C516 or around there) for a more panoramic view from the balcony.
Unlike the Grand Class ships (Grand/Golden/Star and also the Caribbean and the new Crown), where the decks are fairly uniform with respect to balcony size and covered/uncovered-ness, the Coral and Island aren't quite so simple. The BA category cabins, which are all on Caribe deck, do have slightly larger (deeper, not wider) balconies than the cabins above (cat BC) on the Baja deck. Therefore, your Caribe deck balcony will be half-covered, so if you step out to the railing you can see and be seen, or you can stay underneath the balcony above for shade and shelter and/or more (but not complete) privacy! It's the best of both worlds!
Hope this helps!
-Steve
