Small world, I will be cruising 2/27-3/13 on the Golden. This is a cruise reunion with 10 of us that met two years ago on the Ocean Princess. You will LOVE it. Is this your first cruise?? I know I have seen many reviews that you can check out. Perhaps we'll bump into each other..............

My wife and I have been on the Golden for all three of our cruises. A nice ship. We seem to spend most of our time by the terrace pool. Hope they have the same headline entertainment, Uber Rossi comedian and Gitano illusionist both are great you'll enjoy them.

i have to laugh .... we too have been on the golden for our last 3 cruises... and the grand the time before that! For those that cruise a lot with princess, they'll know that these are sister ships and everything is the same... right down to the carpet! makes it easy for knowing your way around! I have to confess though.... ubi is good.... but I'm ready for a change in entertainment......"shirley!!!!". The golden is a great ship though. The staff is awesome and the ship itself is royalty! This last cruise was out of Puerto Rico and went to st thomas, aruba, dominca, and isle margarita. great shops set up at the docks in isle margarita so be sure to check them out even if you don't do shore excursions. Because the cruise pulled out of Puerto Rico, the locals had some great trip prices so the ship was full of Puertaricans (sorry i spelled that wrong). The cruise staff and shows translated almost everything in spanish and most of the staff were spanish speaking. wish I knew more spanish before taking this cruise. Have fun cynthia... you'll love the golden

We cruised on the Golden in March 2003. Read our review at http://www.cruisereviews.com/Princes...nPrincess2.htm. It is not only similar to the Grand (as I've heard), but it is also similar to the Caribbean (we went on it in July 2004), right down to the daily lunch and dinner menus. So, we are going for a change this time and trying Royal Caribbean.

Lyn:

I have to agree, Uber was great the first time, good the second and , well you know.

Cynthia, Our third Golden cruise left out of Puerto Rico like Lyns but we visited Barbados, St Lucia, Antigua, St Martin and St Thomas. All were great Islands with easy acess to the towns and easy taxi rides to the beaches. In fact you will be bombarded with taxi drivers offering to take you just about anywhere, for a price. My wife truly enjoyed snorkling with the sea turtles (a Princess shoreX) on Barbados. We both like St Thomas and Magans Bay. On St Martin, Orient Beach is great. If you prefer to stay away from CO beaches, just go left up the beach from the parking lot. If aunatural is your thing go right. If you prefer to stay away from that thing totaly, We also like Friars Bay beach. It's small but pretty and has a small bar/eatery.

Have fun
