Emerald Princess 9th October 2010

Looking at a 20 day cruise on the Emerald Princess on 6th October 2010 and wanting to no the following;

1.
Penny) Which ship is preferred more, Emerald Princess or Sea Princess.

2. Would anyone recommend a 20 days cruise on Emerald or a 14 day cruise on Sea Princess.

3. Finally a few thoughts on size of ship, i no most people prefer a smaller ship like Sea Princess, we really liked it and it was just the right size but for some reason we want to go bigger now, will this spoil it. Why do people not prefer bigger ships.

Hi J and S, the Emerald is indeed a LOT larger than the Sea. I loved the Emerald, she is beautiful. The Sanctuary was great. We ate in both Sabatini's and the Crown Grill (the extra fee restaurants) and they were both superb. I liked the Crown Grill better than Sabatini's because there wasn't so much food. The Black and Blue onion soup was fantastic. I still prefer the Sea Princess because she's a perfect fit for me. However, if you want to try a larger ship, the Emerald is a great one to try. Here are some pictures, if you'd like to look. 20 vs. 14 days, I'd opt for the 20, even though I love the Sea Princess, I love cruising more

Just a note. One of the reasons I like the Sea Princess better is that it is an easier ship to get around on. The Emerald is so big, but there are a couple of areas, where you have to go up one level or down one level to get all the way forward or all the way aft. However, you never felt crowded and there really weren't lines for anything. Embarking and debarking went a lot faster than I thought it would.
