MrsB, I guess you and Penny didn't realize that in Southern California, we measure everything by time, not by miles. In this case, about 40 minutes if there are no back-ups.

F-mattox, I can totally understand that. I've been in some horrendous traffic jams in the LA area. I could have walked faster than I got there by car

We should arrive in LA at 11:45am and I just needed an estimated time for the transfer to the pier. We are traveling in a group of 8 and everyone wanted to make sure that we arrive fairly early for embarkment. 40 mins to an hour should be ok as long as we don't have any other delays.

MrsB, I see from your cruise ticker that you are going to the Mexican Riviera, so you must be on Sapphire Princes. She has Saturday departures so you will be fine time-wise; Saturday is a pretty decent day on the freeways. By the way, I won't be too far behind you; we're leaving on October 11.

I think you'll love the Sapphire Princess, I've heard very good reviews. Just one more of the Princess fleet I need to try. Still looking for that job that will pay me to sail every cruise ship on every cruise line, so I can review them all

We took a shuttle from LAX to pier area on a week day each way (morning rush hour) a few weeks ago & travel time was around 30 min each way.
