mini-suite bed set-up on Sapphire

We are 2 parents and 2 kids (ages 11 and 14), traveling out of Seattle to Alaska on Aug 14. I can't figure out how the beds are set up in the mini suite with balcony (called twice now, but got different info). Something about an upper bed hanging off the wall somewhere and if we use that, then the two twins below cannot be put in the "queen" configuration (put together) because of a fire hazard. Then, the hide-a-bed: is it a single or a double? Thanks for any clarification!!

Although certain cabins are configured slightly differently (do you have your cabin assignment?), in most cases in the mini-suite with balcony: the bedroom is configured as a queen and the sofa-bed in the living area is a double.

Our particular cabin apparently has some sort of single bed that opens up out of the wall somehow. The person I spoke to said that if we use that twin (instead of putting both kids in the hide-a-bed), then we have to have the pair of twins/queen option left in the two-twins configuration because of fire code. I really can't picture what this is all about... anyone with this experience?

Many ships have the upper berths (imagine a bunk bed) recessed into the ceiling or folded up along the wall. They are lowered at night for sleeping and when the cabin steward cleans the room they are returned to their place in the ceiling or along the wall (done to provide living space during the day.
