I've seen several reviews re: the Grand Princess but not many recent, i.e. late 2003, 2004. I want to know everything. My husband and I are booked on a 5-day Western Caribbean out of Galveston, but not until November!!!! Talk to me if you've sailed on the Grand Princess! Thanks.

we were on the Grand in October of 2003. We sailed to the western carribean (couzamel, cayman, majahal and then the Cays) for a 7 day voyage. The ship is beautiful and the staff is all outstanding. If you ever want to be treated like a queen (or king), then the grand is the place to be. The shows were very entertaining and the meals were wonderful. We loved the personal dining and then the midnight buffet after the shows. If you don't want to soak up the sun all day, there is always something to do elsewhere (game room, library, art auction, bingo, tours, etc). The room stewards are what bring it all together right down to always fresh towels and the evening chocolate on the pillows. You'll have a wonderful time...I'm glad you've chosen the grand

Chris, you will have a great time. Even though it has been 1 year since we sailed on the Grand, we have fond memories of a terrific cruise to the Western Caribbean.

Lyn gave you an accurate rundown of the ship. There's not much I can add except to give a word of advice: A vacation is what you make of it. If you go around the ship looking for things to complain about, you'll probably find them. Kick back and enjoy the time away from home and work. Let the ship's staff take care of you. Enjoy the food and the entertainment. Dance to the combos in the lounges. Have a wonderful time!

My husband and I were joined by our friends on the Grand this past January for the Western Caribbean cruise. We all had such an amazing time. It was our first cruise and we were not disappointed. The food and the service are wonderful. The comedians and the magician were really entertaining. We were on the Caribe deck and our room was plenty big enough for us and we loved having the balcony. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we are planning another cruise for this coming January. And since we were so spoiled on the Grand we've decided to do the exact same cruise again. The Grand Princess is indeed a grand ship. Our cruise was in Dec '03 to the Western Caribbean. Even with a full ship there was lots of room in the public areas. On days at sea there was room for all at one of the many pools and it never had a feeling of being cramped. The room steward was very helpful and filled all our request. The dining staff was great. When we couldn't decide on desert they brought one of each. I would recommend the Personal Choice dining. We never had to wait, but we like to dine early. It was such a nice cruise we have only booked with Princess the past 2 yrs. Remeber you are on vacation, relax and enjoy the ship, crew, ports and of course my wife's most important topic shopping.

We sailed the Grand Princess - Western Caribbean back in 2003. It was fantastic. The food, the service, and the entertainment were all excellent. Sit back and relax. It's incredible.
