Good for the Australians, sad for us. I love the sun class ships, but they're replacing them with the grand class ships to do the Caribbean routes. While the grand class ships are beautiful, the sun class are still my favorite. We'll be on the Royal next December, Lord willing, and maybe she'll become my next favorite. Guess we'll have to travel to Australia to get back on the Sun and the Dawn. Hmmm....maybe that's not so bad after all
Not a bad idea at all, Penny! Australia and New Zealand are fantastic; it's just a shame it's such a long flight. Or, I found the ultimate cruise for those of us who like the Sun Class ships:
31 days, Sydney to San Francisco (or reverse) on Dawn Princess. Australia, New Zealand, South Pacific and Hawaii. But first I'd have to win the lottery and quit my job . . . .Hmmm . . . .maybe that's not so bad after all.
I'm going to have to check into that one. My hubby is mad at me for booking too many cruises, he declared that for 2009 he's only going on 1 cruise. Well, a 31 day cruise is only 1 cruise!
Being and Aussie I could not be happier sounds like we got a good ship actually I have booked a cruise on the sun for 18 nights from Fremantle WA around to Sydney over the top end of Aussie and cant wait Anne
The Sea Princess is my all time favorite, but redcattle and bkmw you have to let us know how y'all enjoyed the Sun. I hope you both have as wonderful of a time as we did. Our first cruise on the Sun, the food wasn't as good as it had been on the Sea. But out second cruise on her, the food had improved 100%. Bon voyage and Happy Holidays!
And don't forget, you Aussies, you have the magnificent Pacific Dawn (formerly Regal Princess) sailing for P&O Australia now. She is one of the most unique and roomiest ships sailing today. Give her a try also.
