We always avoid cabins under the gym because of noise from aerobics/weights. Princess "upgraded" us one category from deck 11 midship to 14 deck forward -- right uner the spa lap pool. Do the water pumps (must be large to provide counter-current) cause much noise in cains directly below? Thanks for your help. efs

We just returned from a Diamond Princess cruise. Although we didn't have a room below the lap pool, I can't see how you would not hear the pump from the room below. It was quite loud
