Aurora world cruise from Southampton

We are considering booking a world cruise with Aurora leaving Jan 7 2008 from Southampton. Has anyone done this same cruise this year? How was the Bay of Biscay? also any tips or comments please.

I have never done this cruise but i have been across the Bay of Biscay.
It was really rough and the restaurants had to be closed as plates etc were falling off shelves. Several passengers had sea-sickness but apparantly this is not unusual for this stretch of water.
It's only a short part of the trip though so i wouldn't worry too much about it.

Hi WelshTracey, many thanks for your reply. I think we may do this trip so I will put Bay of Biscay at the back of my mind ! We may be lucky but being January I doubt it.

Friends of ours have just got back from cruise on the Navigator of the Seas. Said the first two days cruising were the worst ever. They had to get some sea sickness tablets from the doctor on board.

The husband told his wife, "I feel green."
She said, "What colour green do you feel!"

Once out of the Bay of Biscay though, it was like a mill pond.

Thanks for the warning. Sounds as though we will have to take heavy duty sickness pills. 2 days will pass.........eventually........
