Hi,

While it is understood that we aren't the only cruise forum around, we ask that ongoing discussions about our competition and requests for names and e-mail addresses, etc., be done using our private messaging option.

It is sort of like touring the Pepsi factory and talking up Coca-Cola, ya know?

Don, to clarify, this is not "our board." Moderators and administrators are not the owners, but the caretakers. All boards have Terms of Service, including this one.

As I often say about ships, bigger is not necessarily better.

jmcs, I hope you are feeling better soon!

For those reading this thread, I don't see how I was being unreasonable in asking that continual mentions of other boards be taken to a private discussion.

Thank you for your kind wishes Lisa P. Only a few days ago I was afraid that I would have to cancel my cruise. That would have broken my heart! Fortunately that is no longer a concern and I should be as active as ever.

I've never had to endure that! I count myself as being lucky for never getting sick before a cruise. One more reason to get trip cancellation insurance.

I really hope you enjoy your cruise! Get the wine (make it champagne!) for your own personal bon voyage party on the balcony. We've done that and it does make the cruise seem special.

Yes, it is wise to have cancellation insurance. With insurance, the worst consequence would be to miss a cruise that I have looked forward to since stepping off the Caribbean Princess in April 2007.

And since I have had all this unexpected time on my hands, I have already started planning an Alaskan cruise. Then maybe a Mediteranean cruise....an Antartic cruise... and ultimately, Tahiti!

Is there a Cruisers Anonymous?

Soon I will be robbing banks to support my addiction. I can already picture the jury selection process. "Sir, have you ever been on a cruise? No? Pass." No jury composed of cruise lovers would ever convict me of theft to support my habit.

The medication must be getting to me
