Default Roll call discussion
I've pretty much given up posting future trips on this site as no one ever responds to any of the posts.
Good luck.

Seems many have moved on to Facebook -- which I don't understand as they are telling the world that they'll be away. No hiding behind nicknames. I see this happening on all the sites. We started the roll calls at the suggestion of our members, but this was way before FB took over.

Thoughts, everyone?

I've never quite understood it: this is by far the friendliest cruise site, but I too have never had a reply to a roll call. And yet another site that shall go nameless which is known for its rancor and one-upmanship has very active roll calls. I'm guessing it is the sheer numbers that make the difference--it surely isn't the warm fuzzy atmosphere.

I'm not sure it's the friendliest board since no one has even responded to any post but you're right about the other site. They all seem to want to out do each other except for a few. I've given up on attending any of their functions. One time my wife asked me why we were at one of their meetings & had no reason.
It does serve for getting together for tours but we hardly ever do that any more.

I don't list my cruises in the roll call. I list them in my signature thinking if someone was going on the same cruise they would write a post saying so. Maybe I should take a look at the roll call myself.
