Hi Pooh - we had 3 couples booked on the Dream Jan 9th - one couple had a work conflict and canceled - then we found out I had a work conflict and canceled - after looking at other options, we decided we had our hearts set on this ship so booked it a week later. The third couple might switch to join us. We're from Roanoke Va. - not as young as you but not retirement age either.
We're all from Alabama. I've been following this ship everyday with the webcams. I'm so excited...only 3 1/2 months left. Hope someone posts some reviews and pics this weekend. I would love to see the deluxe ocean view cabin.
We booked many months ago and have been following the construction closely. The atrium looks awesome! People who don't cruise don't understand how the anticipation of that week is such a big part of the cruise - I call it my giant carrot that keeps me going at work!
Hard to believe that it will be our tenth - I got hooked the first time I went about 5 years ago on the Carnival Paradise. We've tried Royal Carib, Princess, and Holland as well. All sailed to the Carib - would love to go on an Alaska or Mediter cruise but can't take that much time off from work - guess that will have to wait until we retire. What other ships have you been on?
Not sure about the free laundry - probably ahve to go on Carnival 10 times - we've been on 2 Royal Carib, 1 Princess, 1 Holland, 6 Carnival. The biggest ship was Mariner of the seas - still not as big as the dream. Royal just launched oasis of the seas - 20 stories high! Getting excited - won't be long now!
