Extension Cord/Plug

I am hearing from friends that the plugs on the ship are not the same as the ones we have at home. What type of plug should I be getting?

The plugs are just like your home in Pennsylvania 110V.

They also provide a 220v outlet, maybe that is what your friends were talking about.

Same plugs as in the US. Consider, however, bringing along an extension cord. We always do because there may only be one outlet in the cabin and another in the bathroom. Also depending on your cabin - should it be inside, take along a night lite. The extension and bar allows us to charge cell batteries and camera batteries and the like all at one time hassle free. I always take a 4 plug power strip,some ship plugs are to close to the counter top and my charger for my camera is too long and will not plug in upside down. One time i had to get the purser desk charge my batteries for me.
