first cruise

would like some feed back. first time cruise. we are going on mariner of the seas and have a deck 8 mid ship balcony room. should we upgrade? also I am wondering what $$$ you may need on ship. what is not part of the deal besides alcohol.
and finally any other hints you may have.

Myself and family are going on the Mariner the same time you are. Part of us are also staying on deck 8, except we have an interrior room. I was wondering also how much it would cost to upgrade at the dock and even if that is going to be possible!

was told by Expedia, who we booked thru that if you call as the cruise date gets closer you may be able to get a free upgrade. just depends.

did expedia say to call THEM back or RC themselves for the chance of an upgrade?? i heard that sometimes one can get to the ship and maybe get an upgrade, but most of the time you had to pay for it.

It would be worth trying at least!

You're going to have an awesome time! The great thing about a cruise is that you get to see a lot of different islands without a lot of hassles. However, I've found that cruises may be a little more costly than just staying on an island. So, here's what additional dinero you may need - tips, casino, tours, getting to and from the beach (gotta take cabs), and any activities on the island itself.
