questions about the seapass

Just wondering when you use the seapass can you pay by credit card or cash? not even sure what it is the seapass I mean, does it show I've never cruised before, but am on the countdown to my first one, YEA hehehehehe, thanks

When you check-in they will ask you how you want to pay for any charges put on your sea pass card. I would suggest using your credit card. Your sea pass card looks like a credit card and you'll need it to get into your cabin. You'll also need it to get off and back on the ship when you're at ports of call. If you want to purchase anything on the ship, you'll need your seapass card. Any purchases you make will be charged to your credit card, and you'll get a statement of any and all purchases you made during the cruise. Hope this helps...

When you set up your account, can you use any card as long as it displays the Visa or Mastercard logo? The debit/credit card that my credit union issues can be used either way and it has the Visa logo on it.

You can also use cash when it is time to leave you just pay your balance in cash that is a hassle for some but for me it worked out perfect I went the night before and cashed out which was great for me.

You can use your Debit card with the Visa logo, but do keep in mind, the cruiseline will put a hold on a certain amount, once you charge on your account, the cruiseline will run those charges, alot of times when using a debit card it might take a few days after you return from the cruise before the "hold" is taken off. In otherwords, if you put your debit card up, the cruiseline could take anywhere from $100-200 upwards and place on hold, after your debt is settled (sometimes a couple days after you return) they will release the hold.

It is much easier to use a regular credit card. The hold can last for several days and stays on in addition to any charges. You can still settle by cash on the last night.
