We will be cruising on Explorer of the Seas in November. We have never been on a larger ship, and are looking forward to the experience. Is there anything special we should do or look forward to? Thanks!!
There is everything to look forward to! I am going in November as well on the same ship and see that it has an ice rink (shows are not to be missed I hear), the main prominade that has all the shops and some bars. The pools, the itinerary, the food, etc., etc., You should check out the RCCL website for photos, shipboard activities.
i just got off of explorer last weekend and it was still amazing. there is so much to do on the cruise ships. i would defnitley not miss the ice shows, they are absolutely amazing and also the production shows are great and a lot of hard work is put into the shows by the staff. they also have open ice skating times where you can skate in the ice rink. i would also not miss the love and marriage game show, if you like comedy it's really funny. johnny rockets is onboard it the food is great but there is a 3.95 cover charge. if you have the second seating i can recommend a waiter if you would like. also there is a adult scavenger hunt(i can't think of what they call it right now) but it is a lot of fun. no matter what you do you will have a blast!
The adult savanger hunt is called the Quest and it is really pretty good. More fun if you get on one of the teams but you better be prepared to do some odd things.
Take a highlighter with and when the cruise compass comes to your room start marking what you want to do. I do this so I don't miss anything and my husband just brings a book and sleeps a lot. We're so compatible!

I was on the Explorer in April. The Quest, the ice show, the stage shows are fantastic. Also, you have to try their coconut ranger cookies....to die for. I became addicted to them and would have smuggled a boat load of them when I left the ship if I could have.
