Tickets for ice shows-Freedom of the Seas

We just found out that you have to get a ticket to see the ice show on the Freedom. We did not have to do this on the Navigator. Is this true? When do you get the tickets? Do they accomidate everyone?

My understanding was they had stopped all the ticketing. But if it is still being done on Freedom, fear not. They will announce it in the Cruise Compass. It was usually done outside the Ice Rink on the first or second morning of the cruise. They ensure everyone gets to see the show.

As Dave stated, in an earlier Cruise Compass I found online, tickets are handed out that first morning of the cruise, when you are at sea.

Not sure what itinerary you're sailing, Eastern or Western. Here is the link that I found of an earlier cruise compass. If you click on "day 2" of the Western Caribbean schedule, it will download a PDF file of the cruise compass, and right there on the front page towards the bottom. As of last October it looks like the location was on the Promenade.

We sent one person to pick ours up on the morning. Line looks horrible but moves at lightning speed. It's worth the wait. You choose a showtime/night depending on your dinner time.
