Mexican Itinerary

We are travelling from San Diego in October on the Mercury to various Mexican destinations. Given that Mexico is essentially a "beach" vacation is it worth booking some sort of excusion in each port or are we better off just getting off and making our own way around? We like to see historical sites but not sure there is much of that on this itinerary.

With the exception of Manzanillo, you can do pretty well just going on your own depending on what you like to do. It is a great cruise. Let me know if you have any specific questions.

I AGREE WITH TOM'S REVIEW WE SAILED LAST MARCH THE SHIP IS UNIQUE IN MANY WAYS THE ITINERARY IS GREAT WE BOOKED A FEW TOURS PRIVATELY THROUGH THE WEB SITES THE SHIPS TOURS ARE OK AND YOU CAN WALK OFF MOST PORTS AND BOOK
