I saw some people on the Zenith, who have done this. Every afternoon they had their drinks outside on deck in a souvenier cup. And looking at their behaviour, it must have been hard drinks.

On most cruises I sneak on a box of wine to supliment what I buy on the ship to keep costs down. Once I brought two and ended up giving one to the cabin steward. I put it in a garbage bag and put it in the bottom of my bag.

I used to sneek liquor on Sov. Of the Seas. I found out it is cheaper to buy from the ship liquor store after the ship pulls out. There is a 11.00 set up fee to take it right to your room. Absolute Vodka 9.95 a bottle. It was still cheaper than orlando liquor store. As for carrying around your own liquor, they do not car. The only suggestion I have, is bring a big mug to put it in. It gets to be a pain walking down to the cabin each time I wanted a drink.

Can't wait till June 18,06. RCCL to Alaska

The new liquor policy on Royal Caribbean prohibits purchasing liquor in the ship store and taking it to the cabin. This went into effect roughly in June 05. On my April cruise we bought Bacardi and Sheridan after the ship left the dock and then made our own drinks.

However on our October cruise anything bought in the ships liquor store was stored for you until the last night of the cruise. And then it was delivered to your stateroom.

We generally bring a few bottles of wine and a couple bottles of rum and vodka. But we still end up buying drinks.

Just a note: You CAN NOT take onboard any flight Bacardi 151. If you attempt to bring it on an airliner it will be confiscated. And someone from security will thank you.
