Hi: We just signed up for the cruise. We have been on RC before, though we usually cruise on Princess. We are both in our early 50's, live in NYC. Amy is a lawyer, and I am a consultant in publishing.
Has anyone ever done the duck tour in PR?
Has anyone stayed in a GS suite on the Explorer and can you tell me what it is like? Is there any problem with sound from the pool or solarium? Seth Sclevin@aol.com

Welcome Amy and Seth,

We haven't been to Puerto Rico before, so we can't help you there at all. We've never been so lucky to cruise in a Grand Suite YET...I keep hoping to though.
We are also in our early to mid 50's and love cruising. This will be our third cruise with RCL, we LOVE Royal Caribbean.
Take care.....it's almost time to cruise!!

I can't tell you about a Grand Suite (although I have seen one in person and it looks really nice), but I have cruised in Owners Suites twice so far, Once on the explorer and once on the navigator. The room on the navigator was definately larger but I think that is just the owners suites that are affected. Here are photos of the grand suite 1324 from Adventure of the seas. http://community.webshots.com/slides...422&key=uZQylo

Also, I couldn't say that Puerto Rico was my favorite. Quite frankly, it was definately my least favorite. We got off of the ship, walked around a little (it was not the cleanest and very tiny and crowded streets). I'd pick a itinerary that didn't include Puerto Rico if I could and if it was included on my itinerary, I'd stay on board and enjoy the quiet!!! PR to me, is a waste! There's not even any good shore excursions! If you like the rainforest I suppose that would be nice if you want to waste 1 - 2 hours driving to it!
