We just got home last night and had the most wonderful time on Freedom for our first cruise. That ship is just so beautiful. My husband still says it wasn't long enough and I agree. None of our group had any problems with being seasick one bit. But I am feeling seasick now! Everything I do it feels like I am floating and I can't make it stop. Has anyone else done that and how long before it stops?
Thank you! http://cruise-chat.com/groupee_commo...icon_frown.gif

Yup, happens all the time. Well maybe not to the point of feeling sick, but the floating feeling happens. Give it a couple of days. Your body is used to the ship movement and is still trying to compensate for it.

The only other solution is to book another cruise and get right back on! But that only postpones the having to get over it part...

Normally, your sea legs will be ok in a few days. I've never been sick either. On a ship the natural cure is either a green apple or ginger. I don't know if it works on land, but ginger candy is good. You can find it at a local health food store. But Jim has the right idea, book another, then another, then another, but I guess eventually you'd have to come back home. Best wishes!

I'm sorry to hear that you aren't feeling well, I glad that you had fun. Where did you go and what excursions did you do?

wesnlin 10-22-2007 06:23 PM

We did the western caribbean. did excursions in labadee(zip line) and grand cayman(parasailing). The whole cruise was exellent. sunday morning at the pier @11:30 on ship @ 12:00. and yes we are addicts now so much so that we booked another cruise while on board. Dave was right about the coke's in mexico somehow they are different from the one's here in the states. With a ship like Freedom of the seas if you don't get hooked on cruising something is wrong with you.

It sounds like you got onboard quick. Even though they sent me the orange paper with instructions to not arrive before 1pm, and boarding wouldn't start till 2 pm, I plan on being there by or before noon!

Ok i seen above something about coke being different? is that good or bad? I am a coca cola feen lol..

wesnlin 10-23-2007 05:51 PM

I was wondering if anyone else has noticed the fountain coke they serve on the ship? My husband and I bought the soda package. We couldn't believe how much different the coke and sprite tasted on the ship. I thought at first they gave me diet coke because it tasted so awful, but I found out every coke tasted that way. By the end of the cruise we adjusted to the taste of it, but it's definately different.
