Even though the 4-night cruise was a revenue voyage - with 4800 guests - the official 7-night "inaugural voyage" that started this past Saturday sailed with only 3400 passengers according to published reports. On the other hand, the Carnival Dream arrived at Charlotte Amalie with 3800 guests aboard.
No kidding! We travel 5 of us and we could buy a pretty decent car (or two cruises on the Crown Princess) for what our estimate was to go on the Oasis.

We are dying to go on Oasis but not at the current pricing. That is a big and expensive ship and I would think more people at a lower price would bring in more revenue. I hope RCCL is listening!

RCCL certainly has a whole lot of passenger capacity concentrated on a lot fewer ports than Carnival. One thing they could do to boost bookings is honor other lines' repeat-cruiser status. That would help me try another RCCL cruise anyway.
