Our first cruise was on the Vision of the Seas. We were told at the package store that we could buy duty free and the liquor would be delivered to our room on Sat night OR we could pay the duty and take it to our room. The duty was only a couple dollars and worth it. As for smuggling, I am sure they know all the tricks in the book. The mouthwash one has to be the oldest. I put it in our luggage and if it gets through then it does and if not then I will be buying on the ship. So far all have gotton through. Not sure why we do though. We are not big drinkers. My husband packed a pint of rum for our cruise last month and came home with half of it. I prefer the daily special drinks once in a while.
