How in the world do I get alcohol onto the boat. Do they really scan my luggage? My other 2 cruises, they did not, but that's because I tipped the porter to supposedly "help me out." I sincerely wonder if the porter did help me @ the docks. Can any of my more experienced and cruise savvy people help me?
Very simple. Get a few of the cheapest PLASTIC bottles of mouthwash from your local store. Empty and clean them well, fill em with your booze and add food coloring. I've done this myself with no problems. Plastic bottles are allowed and so is mouthwash, so u are ok.
I like rum, so i got my clear pineapple rum and added a tea spoon of half green and blue food coloring after mixing it in some water. You should experiment with it in water first to be sure it looks good. It will look identical to mouthwash when you're done.
ive found if you fill large condoms with your preferred alcohol and then swollow them, but make sure you dip them in olive oil before consuming they go down the throat easier, you should have no problems. As if, come on, sorry but get real why go too so much trouble just buy it when your on the cruise ship your on holiday.

Cris, I just couldn't resist kidding you.
Trying to save a few bucks smuggling booze aboard a ship may end up costing BIG BUCKS!
This is my first post on any cruise site. First off thanks to all you of you with so much knowledge. You people have so much to share it is a privledge. Sonny, I have looked at all your pics on your site and they are great. I am cruising Adventure OS in Jan out of San Juan, this is my 4th cruise, all on RCCL. My last cruise was Sept 2003, I brought 5 very nice bottles of wine for dinner. The head waiter secured that the wine would be brought from my suite to my table each night and the wine was aired and ready for dinner. There was of course a corkage fee but we were able to enjoy our meals so much so. Can I bring wine on board for this reason now? We were invited to the Captains table last time and I foolishly offered to bring wine, the Captain had his personal favorites that were great. thanks again for so much info!
Yes, you may still bring wine onboard and the corkage fee for consumption in the dinning room still applies. The liquor ban is aimmed at the hard stuff (and the age limit changes)
