Dress Code ? formal night age 12-14?

I know this topic has been discussed quite a bit, but I would like to know what others have done, we are leaving in two weeks on Enchantment of the Seas (4 nights). There are three boys ages 14 and 12! For formal night, can they just wear a tie and nice long pants? We don't have jackets for them and the expensive would be costly just for that one night???Do some of the men just wear a tie or a jacket?? Thanks!

Your boys will be fine. You will find on shorter cruises people dress less formal. I'm sure you will even see men wearing a collared shirt and dress slacks without tie.
