Tenders

Okay, I'm a little confused by this. I know that tenders are small ferry boats, but how do we get from the cruise ship onto the tender? I am going on a Bahamas cruise which includes a stop in Coco Cay, which is a tendered port.

The tenders may be chartered boats from the port, or they may be boats carried on the ship. Either way, the ship will establish a little docking area along side and the passengers will go down to that deck and board the tenders. You'll go down a small walkway onto the tender, with crew there to assist you. It isn't much of a hassle.
