What is the pricing like for cruises during the holidays? We asked people while on the Mariner last week and got everything from "it's cheaper" to "it's double the price"

Prices are generally higher on holidays. If you want to know the current holiday prices you can check them out on any of the cruise line sites.

With all the ones we've been on it's anywhere from $500 more to double the price. The week before and the week after the first of January are usually great bargains. We did get a good offer from Costa last year for $799/pp inside for Christmas week. It was a fun cruise. This year the offer was better for after the first of the year, so that's what we booked. I think you'll find all of the cruises will be more expensive for Christmas/New Years. Best wishes and the ticker looks fine.
