My family took a cruise on Enchantment of the Seas in early December. Our two oldest are 11 and 9 and they loved it. We gave them a little freedom during the day on the ship, planned a couple of awesome shore excursions (Reggie's Cave Tubing in Belize was AWESOME), and had them go to the kids club at night, which they loved and wanted to stay until the end, which was 1 am. I would avoid the arcade games and internet on board, as they were very expensive. We brought along a portable DVD player and some movies for the plane, and the kids used in on the ship a few times too. If they really like video games, my suggestion is to bring whatever portable system they have and buy a new game right before the trip--way cheaper than the arcade. One other quick note about the kids club, try to go to the opening program on the first night. They do a great job getting the kids interested and it seemed like that first night they both made friends right away and wanted to keep going back. We had late seating for dinner, so I would take all the kids to the buffet at 6:00, supervise their dinner, and then was able to relax during mine. They loved being able to pick out whatever they wanted for meals. Overall we had a wonderful time and it was a great family vacation.
