Sovereign of the Seas / Nassau

Hi,

I will be on the Sovereign of the Seas on Dec 1.
This is a 3 days cruise. The booklet says it will arrive Nassau at 11am and depart 3am the next day. I wonder what time we need go back to the ship. Do I have enough time to go to Blue Lagoon island? Is there taxi avaible to go back to the ship after 8pm? Thanks in advance.

Yes pinkflower you will have time to do all of that. If you go to Blue Lagoon you will want to leave around 1 pm if you want to take in other sights like Paradise Island or the straw market and you can hail a taxi most anytime. I recommend that you see the Aquarium at Atlantis, The Queens Staircase, and even the forts and history in Nassau are nice. I recommend a tour guide named Felix in Nassau. Very nice guy about 60 years old and he's reliable and reasonable and a gentleman.

ceemonster, thank you very much for your reply and the recommandation. Really appreciated. I have more questions. My family really want to see Blue Lagoon. I searched around the web, some said that the beach is closed, and some said that I need to make reservation before I go. I got confused. Are those true? How much does it cost to use the beach? Does it have fresh water for shower? Thanks.

Sorry that I am just now answering you. I have been trying to find out for you if all the beaches at Blue Lagoon are closed because they do have 7 and one is names Blue Lagoon. You will have to make reservations on the ship before you go because its a tendered excurison and you want to do this trough the cruise line so if there is a problem the ship will/might wait for you. When you book it the Excursions Desk will know if all of the beaches are closed. If they are I would mention that you scrub Blue Lagoon and take a nice Island tour with a Cabbie named Felix. There are nice beaches near the shopping district. Also he will take you to Atlantis in Paradise Island which is nice and the Queens staircase. I am going on the Sovereign the Cruise just before you. (Nov 27th)
