Has anyone ever occupied a Promenade Stateroom on Explorer of the Seas? We are curious to know if there is more noise, since it is on the Promenade of the ship. Thank you in advance for your input.
I am booked in a Promenade Stateroom on The Navigator for January...Before I booked it 6 months ago, I posted the same question. I only got a couple of responses, but they said there was not alot of noise except possibly during the parade times. Hope this helps...
The parade night will be an issue. They start the parade at midnight and it's very noisy but also very entertaining. Find out what night it's on and don't plan an early morning the next day, just stay up late and enjoy the show. There's nothing you can do about it and they are deaf to the many complaints they recieve from a handful of passengers who always scream at them and tell them they need to stop the pararde this minute! It's just part of the Voyager Class ship experience. If that's a problem, change rooms now. It'll be too late once you board.
I swore that I was going to book a PR on my next cruise, and then came the one below and somehow I let that TA talk me into the balcony. I guess I'll just have to book another cruise where one's available and take the room.
Actually, my original thought was to do it when booking the Exployer out of NJ. It's so cold for the first and last days that the PR and the price would be a nice break.
I had a PR on the Navigator. I loved it. I don't remember being bothered by noise. Yes, you do hear muffled noise. I'm usually up until 12-1am, though. Once my head hit the pillow I was asleep.
WARNING: Make sure you close your curtins, when changing your clothes. People can see into your cabin.
