Tom,

Taking the Mercury in October -Mexican cruise. Do you think we would we be o.k. in booking a flight when we return leaving San Diego airport at 11.15am (that gets us home at 8pm) or is that a little early? The next flight is about 2pm but that doesnt get us home till midnight? Maybe we could be first off the ship?

Hi Mike,
Tom is presently on a family vacation in Puerto Vallarta. I am sure he will address your question when he returns, but having sailed from San Diego I can share my thoughts. The airport is quite close to the cruise port, so if you were to be first off the ship AND there were no immigration delays in allowing passengers to disembark - you would have plenty of time to make an 11:30 flight. If all goes well you could easily be at the airport by 9:00 AM. The problem, however, is that there are no guarantees that all will go well and there will be no delays in the disembarkation process.
Nancy

Thanks Nancy. As always you are very helpful. I have decided to book the later flight, better be safe than sorry and there is no point having a lot of stress after the cruise.
