I think Casanova Frankenstein mentioned this a while ago.
I just learned that RCI is pulling the Adventure Of The Seas from San Juan next May. The ship will be going to Spain for a previously scheduled set of cruises but the big news is the Adventure will not be returning to San Juan.
No word on whether RCI will be moving another ship to San Juan, or if they are abandoning the market.
Well I am always sad to see a cuise ship goes from the island...
The rumors are that the serande of the seas will be the one staying on Puerto Rico, insted of the AOS. If that is the case RCCL will lost a great deal on this, since the carnival Victory is way bigger.
My best guest is, if they are going to send one here it have to be one of the AOS sister ships
I am SOOOO happy that we are booked on the AOS in a couple weeks. WE have always wanted to cruise out of San Juan, never having started a cruise actually in the Caribbean. I am thankful not to have missed doing so on a Voyager Class Ship--our families personal favorite class. I haven't even sailed yet and I feel sad that she is being relocated! The Southern route out of Miami makes a short day in San Juan and another short day in Nassau--or a third at sea day--AOS spends full days in the ports instead. A better experience I would think.

I hope you enjoy it as much as we did. I loved being able to do a 10-14 day itinerary in 7 because of the savings in fare. Now, there's not much difference because of the air fare. I love the southern islands. Bon Voyage
